Salary Data API terms

The terms of using Salary Data API

Who we are

This website is operated by DeveloperData.net ("Developer Data", "we"), Empire Tower, 41st Floor, Unit 4106-7, South Sathorn Road, Yannawa, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120, Thailand. These terms are governed by the law of Thailand, and the courts of Bangkok have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Salary Data API gives official pay figures from national statistics offices through an API, its documentation pages and its website. By making an account or calling the API you agree to these terms.

Your account

One person or one business per account, with true details. You sign in with Google; keep your Google account and your API key to yourself. You are responsible for everything done with your key.

Plans and billing

  • Plans are paid through Stripe and renew each month or each year until you cancel.
  • A price change is announced before it applies, and only from your next period.
  • Every plan change opens a confirmation first, with the price and the date it starts.
  • The refund rules are on the refunds page.
  • A purchase may be credited to the partner who referred you, through our partner program. It never changes the price you pay.

Card charges appear as DEVELOPERDATA.NET. Billing questions: https://developerdata.net/support?tab=charge

Fair use

Your plan's limits are the fair-use line: its calls a day or a month, and its calls a second. Getting around them is not allowed: several free accounts for one person, sharing a key, replacing keys to reset a limit, or automating the website around the API. We may slow, pause or close an account that does this.

The figures: use them, do not replicate them

  • Use what the API gives you in your own work, products, reports and sites, and show results to your own users.
  • Do not resell, redistribute or republish the figures themselves, in bulk or through an API or feed of your own.
  • Do not download them in bulk to rebuild the database, or use them to build a competing product.
  • Figures you kept while your plan was active stay yours to use in your own work after you cancel.

Acceptable use

Nothing unlawful. No probing or load-testing our systems without asking first. No attempts to reach another member's account or data. No scraping pages the API already offers.

Accuracy

The figures come from each country's national statistics office and are given as they are, gathered and read with care, without a warranty that they are complete or free of mistakes. Offices revise their figures; we follow their revisions. Nothing here is employment, legal, tax or financial advice.

Availability

We aim to keep the API and the website running and show their state on the status page. No plan promises an uptime.

Liability

Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or lost data.

Suspension and closing

We can pause or close an account that breaks these terms; a serious breach can be acted on without notice, and an account closed for a breach is not refunded. You can close your account any time in your account area (see Deleting an account).

Changes to these terms

A new version is posted here with its date. A change that matters is emailed to members before it applies.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of Thailand, and the courts of Bangkok have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions go through support.
